As a child, I would hug my puppy all day, sleep with it in my bed, and let it lick me all over my face. Her name was Goldie, a gorgeous golden Cairn Terrier, and I loved her. I always thought I’d have a puppy for my kids. But then I grew up and reality hit. Three Weeks of Vacation?!

Three Weeks of Vacation?!

So it’s been 7 ½ months since we moved to Israel and let’s call a spade a spade. I’ve pretty much been on vacation since we got here. Well, I have been extremely busy with life- wife, mother, household, volunteering, blogging…but I haven’t needed to answer to anyone, i.e. a boss. No one is demanding that I get into the office by 8am. I am on my own schedule- at least just for this year. And I am so grateful that I have had this opportunity to really acclimate the family to life in a new country.

Remembering My First Visit to Chevron..and Hoping it Wasn’t My Last

I wrote this blog months ago, and never felt it was the right time to publish it..until this week. This week when a Chayal is under investigation for ensuring the safety from a terrorist after the terrorist attacked another Chayal in Chevon. Chayalim have the scariest job in the world. And they deserve out respect- EVEN if you think they might have made a mistake. And definitely don’t get me wrong- I don’t think he made a mistake. And no one should judge him or anyone else unless they wear that person’s shoes. Worry about yourselves and your actions. And leave the judging to GOD!
